October 12, 2012

DALLAS – July 31, 2012 – Dallas-based Darling homes recently announced their selection as an honoree in the Dallas Business Journal’s 2012 Best Places to Work list for the fifth consecutive year in the midsize company category. This year’s honorees included a total of 56 North Texas-based companies all of which shared common themes including high levels of employee engagement, an emphasis on job satisfaction, the ability to create a positive working environment and encourage a commitment to community service.

“We are thrilled to be selected as an honoree once again,” stated Heidi Haas, Darling Homes’ vice president of human resources. “This is a direct reflection of the culture the Darling family established 25 years ago when the three brothers started the company. Their goal was to create an environment where employees felt empowered to deliver the very best to the homebuyer while also understanding the importance of giving back to the community. This core value holds true today and has enabled us to nurture and retain terrific talent, build great homes and serve others in a significant way,” she concluded.

For 25 years, the homebuilder has reinforced one of their primary core values, to serve others, through their commitment to give back to their local community. Darling Homes sponsors and supports many projects throughout the year, such as the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County, Children’s Medical Center Legacy, Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish Foundation and MainGait Therapeutic Horsemanship.

The Dallas Business Journal announced the 2012 Best Places to Work on July 17. An awards luncheon will take place on Thursday, September 27 to formally congratulate the honorees. For more information about the Best Places to Work awards, visit www.bizjournals.com.
