ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum Credit Score of 640
  • Primary Residence Only
  • Borrower must have been the owner or the tenant of the damaged property (documentation required)
  • The current home must be located in the PDMDA and must be destroyed or damaged to an extent that reconstruction or replacement is necessary

  • The new home need not be located within a PDMDA
  • Loan Application and FHA case number must be within 1 year of the date the PDMDA is declared:
    -   August 25 for Texas counties

*FHA 203(h) Disaster Relief Program (the "Program"): Limited availability of FHA mortgage insurance for qualified victims located in the recent Presidentially Declared Major Disaster Areas ("PDMDA"). All Program eligibility requirements and restrictions apply. FHA loan limits will vary based on time of FHA case number order and property location. Borrower's case number of application must be obtained by the lender from FHA within one year of the President's declaration of the disaster. The Program allows for up to 100% financing for qualified applicants. Closing costs and prepaid expenses must be paid by the borrower in cash, through lender premium pricing and/or by the seller (subject to FHA standard guidelines for maximum third party contributions). FHA program qualification guidelines apply for borrower and property approval.
